Jake was a great, true friend, -fabulous pilot and flight instructor and one of the smartest people I've had the fortune to know. My thoughts and prayers to Lee, who he so adored and his family members and friends who have suffered such a great loss.

Dear Lillian and Family,
I recently read the two notices about the deaths in you family and wanted to express my sincere condolences for your loss. Although it's been many years since last seeing you, Vic and Andrea, I thought it was still appropriate to do so.

Sincerely, Phil Rappoccio

Thirty years ago when I wanted to gradutate to a twin engine rating, Tony at Sky Manor connected me with Jake. The next day we went flying in his 310 which led to many years of flying and friendship with Jake, Lee and Debbie.

Jake was a great pilot and had a wonderful ability to make the science of flying seem so straightforward.
While he seemed so careful and practical, he also epitomized the romance of flying. We all know Jake stories.
Over the years Jake and Lee have extended so many kindnesses to me and others that make Jake's passing a great loss. He always made time to share knowledge.
CAVU, Jake.

When our daughter Jeannine Mullahy married Steve and became part of the very loving Tussel and Richel families she was so excited to tell us that Uncle Jake was a pilot and how exciting it was that Steve got to fly with Uncle Jake.
You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Jake was the "pilot's pilot". He flew anything with wings and rotors and once made a "dead stick" (engine inoperative) night landing on an unlighted highway in the Florida Everglades landing behind a truck.
Jake was a regular at all the local airports and will be missed by all of us fellow pilots.
